OSAKA, JAPAN: Super Junior secured their place as THE Korean boy band in K-pop by walking away with an impressive four wins at the Golden Disk Awards held Wednesday night (11th January). The boys picked up the MSN Japan Award, Popularity Award, Bonsang Award and the highest honour, the Daesang Award.
Clearly a crowd favourite (it's their 3rd consecutive Popular Award at the Golden Disk!), the boys also thrilled the audience with their hits 'Superman', 'Mr Simple' and a surprising rock remix of 'Bonamana'.
Girl groups Rainbow and Infinite were also given top honour with the Hallyu Icon Award, while BEAST picked up the Ceci K-pop Icon Award.

Performances were nothing short of electrifying either, with a dizzying array of lights and beats taking over the Kyocera Dome.
Girl group A Pink gave a rousing performance of 'My My' then belted it out for 'I Don't Know'; B1A4 took over with 'Beautiful Target', 'Dancebreak' and 'OK' before surrendering the stage to Dal★shabet. Judging by the crowd's cheers, the girls did a fine job with their hits 'SupaDupaDiba', 'Pink Rocket' and 'Bling Bling'.
It was one insanely impressive dance move after another as each act took the stage. Boy band INFINITE came on stage with 'Paradise' and 'Be Mine' followed by the girls of f(x) with a pumping performance of 'Hot Summer'.
After MBLAQ thrilled the crowd with the Japanese version of 'Baby U', Jay Park slowed it down with a piano intro before breaking into 'Abandoned' and the heavy beats of 'Up and Down'.
Fresh from picking up their Hallyu Icon Award, RAINBOW performed 'To Me' and the Japanese version of 'Mach'. Picking up the pace, CN Blue sang and danced their way through 'Love Girl' before the ladies of KARA drove it home with 'Lupin' and 'STEP'.
Not long after, BEAST had the crowd moving to 'Fiction' and the Japanese version of 'Shock' before the big winners of the night, Super Junior, ended the event with their medley of songs plus an encore after accepting the Daesang Award
